Siding & Cladding
Cladding does not keep a wall dry by being waterproof. It keeps a wall dry by letting it drain and breathe.

Walls that can dry
Every cladding admits some water eventually. The difference between a wall that lasts forty years and one that fails in eight is whether that water can drain out and whether the back face of the boards can dry. We build for both, on every elevation.
That means a continuous drainage plane, a ventilated cavity behind the cladding, and reflashed openings with sill pans. It is not expensive relative to the cladding itself, and it is the reason repeated paint failure stops.
Restoration versus replacement
Where original material can be saved, we save it. We sample the profile, have matching stock milled locally, and blend the repair so it reads as original. Where the wall is beyond selective repair, we say so before you have paid for an assessment you cannot use.

How we work
Four stages, and you know what happens in each one.
01
Envelope assessment
We map moisture, open a test area where needed, and identify whether the failure is the cladding, the flashing, or the absence of a drainage plane.
02
Material & profile matching
Original profiles are sampled and milled locally where we are restoring. New assemblies are specified with back-priming and fastener schedules.
03
Drainage plane & rainscreen
Weather-resistive barrier, then furring to create a ventilated cavity, then window and door reflashing with sill pans before any cladding goes up.
04
Cladding, trim & finish
Boards are installed to a set reveal with a documented sealant schedule, and every cut end is sealed before it is fastened.
